Do the Chop! This Easy Trick Could Solve Your False Lash Woes - Makeup and Beauty Blog

Wow, babe. MIND Diddled.
I don't know why information technology took me so long to effigy this out, merely better late than never.
First, a trivial backstory. Last Saturday I was testing out a possible Emmys makeup expect — yep, I'one thousand kind of nerdy that way, but it never hurts to exist prepared. I got it into my head that I wanted to habiliment a big, dramatic pair of false lashes to the show.
The affair is, some big lashes can be super uncomfortable off the shelf. I'll normally trim them down to size, but fifty-fifty and so — the big ones can still be uncomfortable.
I guess I accept an oddly shaped lash line or something considering the inner lash band always pokes me right in a sensitive spot, and information technology's astronomically abrasive.
So, I was thinking most this, trying to figure out what to do. What could I do, I wondered, to make a pair of dramatic faux lashes more comfortable?
I know! — I'll cut each one in half and apply the halves separately. 🙂
I grabbed a pair of haggard 120 Demis by Ardell (I'd already used them a few times before), and cutting them in half correct downwards the middle with a pair of scissors. Then I applied the outer one-half first and the inner half 2nd.
Boom. This is when my mind was blown.

Chopped in half, they were a lot easier to position, and no more uncomfortable poking. They definitely felt more comfortable.
If false lashes are ever uncomfortable for you, or if they never seem to sit down right, dude, chop 'em in half! 🙂
Information technology's a whole new false lash world…
Your friendly neighborhood beauty aficionado,
Karen
P.S. OK, I ended up non even using this play a trick on for the actual show last night because I ran out of time while getting set (what else is new?), just I will! Someday soon I volition.
P.P.S. Welcome to Novato! I'yard abode again and, unsurprisingly, very tired. I think I'll sneak in a quick nap.
